Local Autism Support Group |
|
There's a local Autism Support Group that meets once a month at the Groton Public Library. Formed this past year, it meets on the third Friday of every month at 10 AM. This group is open not only to individuals from Groton and Dunstable, but also to those from surrounding towns. The group is specifically intended for the families and caregivers of individuals affected by Autism, including Asperger's Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (Pervasive Developmental Disorder). It provides a positive place to share knowledge, questions, and stories of life on and around the autistic spectrum. Some recent topics covered by the Autism Support Group include family dynamics, nutritional interventions, school issues, testing, and extra-curricular activities. For more information, please contact Sarah Campbell at stcampbell@gdspedpac.org. |
